Coming soon…

…show trial, the musical.

Telegraph- JK Rowling’s ‘come and get me’ retort to Hate Crime Act is direct challenge to Yousaf

Faced with the possibility of prosecution under an Act that carries a maximum seven-year jail sentence, the best-selling author didn’t act cautiously. Instead, she sailed straight into a calculated attack against Humza Yousaf’s determination to bring in a raft of new offences which threaten to end freedom of expression over the “trans” issue but which fail to protect women

  1. Sure, she’s got more money and prestige than you can shake a stick at, but she obviously has some testicular fortitude.

  2. Good for her, she does indeed have more “testicular fortitude” than a whole bunch of so called “males”!
We are also dealing with our own pending “hate legislation” I wonder if any high profile Canadians will have any similar fortitude to oppose it?

      1. Pussies don’t have testicles

But isn’t that what Ms. Rowling is claiming? 🙂

    1. Heh. I haven’t so far, but her next one will probably be quite entertaining and just might make my reading list.

  3. remember, the lady went from scribbling the harry thing in a coffee shop to being the richest woman ever in britain exceeding Lizzie.
that represent one HELLUVALOT of clout in some corners.

whatever happens hereafter the brits DESERVE IT IN SPADES good or bad.

  4. I am surprised that this muslim head of Scotland is favourable towards tranny stuff. Oh wait, that is their way to help bring down western civilization. Once they get full control, the trannies and their like will be thrown off roofs.

    1. For my part I’m still puzzled as to how the Scots — of Wallace and Scottish Enlightenment fame — allowed something called a “Humza” to get into a position to be able to tell them how they may or may not speak in the first place.

      1. Because, Brother John, too many of the brighter Scots emigrated – either south to England or to overseas. It has to be some 40 plus years ago that a report was published that – due to emigration – the Scottish IQ had been significantly lowered. Remember this because spouse’s boss was proudly Scottish (though here in Canada) and had fun pointing this out to him.

  5. If I had her money I’d just make these fckrs disappear.
And I don’t mean like Harry Potter would.

  6. Rowling is a feminist in the worst sense of the word. If it were male sports in jeopardy, she wouldn’t lift a finger.

But, kudos to her for this. Damn ballsy on her part. Sometimes the enemy of your enemy can be a friend.

    1. If it were male sports in jeopardy, she wouldn’t lift a finger.

      And you know this how?

      1. From Rowling’s own words, my dear Marmot:
“Women are the only group … that are being asked to embrace members of their oppressor class.”

Also note this recent, pertinent tweet.
“If they go after any woman for simply calling a man a man, I’ll repeat that woman’s words and they can charge us both at once. https://twitter.com/jk_rowling/status/1775190408110264673

She won’t retweet anything from a man?

A long video, but the portion at 1:23:00 through 1:33:00 goes into it. Rowling is not a conservative, she is not a centrist. She is not left of center. She is an anti-patriarchy feminist who says the west is a “rape culture”.
And I love her books very much, and I think she fully deserves all the financial success she has earned. But don’t for a minute think she is “on our side”.

Well, on this one issue, she is. And that is good. But on our side for a different reason than we are on our side.

    2. She retroactively decided the aged mentor figure in her bad Jill Murphy knockoff was gay, among other things. There’s some rather interesting sociology in why the Harry Potter books became as popular as they did, and it’s not because they’re well-written.

Rowling’s a TERF in every sense of the word, and it doesn’t matter that she hates them, because she also hates you if you have a Y chromosome. Sometimes the enemy of your enemy is just another enemy.

  7. It is one thing to do this as JK Rowling, with all her money and clout — I understand Police Scotland has issued a statement (craven but prudent) that her comments were not criminal and would not be prosecuted. It is quite another to follow up her declaration of war with the demand for any woman criminally charged under the new Act to send her (Rowling) the statement on which the charge is based; she will then republish it, and demand that she and the defendant be jointly charged and tried. That is remarkable.

  8. The way to defeat this kind of idiotic law is to simply have EVERYONE post “illegal” comments…..everywhere.

  9. In all 6 posts Rowling describes them as “she/her/gal”. In a seventh post, which gives authorities plausible deniability, she says “men, every last one of them”. Glad she did it but she covered her ass.
