  1. The lack of concern comes from a misplaced belief in the benevolence of government, coupled with “They will never do that to me” level of stupid.

    1. I think that’s the crux of it as it pertains to Canada.

For generations we’ve been spoonfed the conceit of the goodness of our institutions and people – from our “free” health care and creation of UN peacekeeping, to smug vitrue as “nice and polite”.

The reality is that was mostly a veneer. There was always corruption below the surface, and a cozy, incestuous, relationship between politicians and media. Only then, unlike now, there existed an inherited code of conduct or morality that kept shadiness more discrete and, failing that, notions of, for example, ministerial responsibility where resignation was the expectation.

Of course, none of that exists now. If anyone was still deluded in the benevolence of our institutions, they should have been disabused of it during the plandemic. Then it was stripped bare for all to see.

  2. From State Sponsored Author: “The possibilities for revenge, false accusations + thoughtcrime stuff are sooo inviting!”

    Sounds a bit gleeful

  3. The average Canadian has no access to news. They are only fed propaganda 24/7 by the paid off media presstitutes. The brain washing includes constant injunctions to not even look at alternate interpretations or different facts. So you have people who not only think CBC is the way the truth and the light, anything that deviates from the CBC is malicious lies. So don’t even examine what is being said lest you have your mind polluted.

    1. Oh, they have access. But they lack the curiosity to dig for it or the courage to face it.

      1. I have to disagree Jamie.

Until 5 years ago I was one of those “underinformed” people; my newspaper of choice for more than 2 decades was the Toronto Star. And, naively, I thought what they reported was an accurate representation of current events so why would I go looking for other sources of information?
However, after I met my wife and hearing differing opinions on what was reported, I began reading more publications and blogs that presented a more balanced position. Part of the change was also due to the constant Trump bashing I was seeing in the media. I was not a fan of Trump but I didn’t like the media’s relentless effort to get rid of him. Since then, I have come to understand that legacy media is bought and paid for by people wishing to control the narrative.
Did I have access prior to my shift? Absolutely.
Was I curious? Not really because I believed the media was fair and balanced. I know…that was pretty naive.
Did I have the courage to face the truth that was presented? It took some time, but yes, I did.

        1. You have proved my point, Mr. K. Those who remain ignorant have options – if they choose to exercise them.

          1. I haven’t read a newspaper or watched a tv news broadcast in years. I educate myself by filtering articles and information on the internet, and I consider myself fairly cognizant of what is going on in the world. Because of this, my friends and family think I’m a conspiracy theorist. CBC is a joke, as are all the other government subsidized media.

    2. Tens of thousands of young adults simply don’t pay attention to any news on any medium. Blaming CBC is ludicrous, CBC has a dearth of eyes and ears that tune in.

      1. Nevertheless, many Canadians remain true believers. CBC is part of the problem and increasingly I am concerned about all that they do not report.

  4. To me it was obvious from his 1st trip in India. Clown cross-dressing, totally ridiculous, still – no entity in Canadian msmedia pointed it out. Some Indian outlet started it. Since then I saw Canadian msmedia being disgusting/licking boots at every single step PM makes. Everyone – CBC, CTV, Global, TorStar, radio AM etc. The few who dare to speak the truth have hard time surviving. Canadian msmedia is a de facto Minister of Truth. The only still resisting piece is the Internet. But he’s taking care of that ‘as we speak’ no pb. The days of us-anonymous venting here-and-there are numbered.

  5. You know it’s a real problem when The Liberal’s Official Jew stamps it “Approved”.

“Bernie Farber, a founding member of the advocacy group, said he welcomes the Liberal government’s effort to classify the dissemination of hate speech online as a form of discrimination … Farber, who was on the panel of experts that advised the government on its new legislation, said Tuesday that since that particular section of the Canadian Human Rights Act was repealed, social media has “exploded with hatred.”

“If this section becomes a yo-yo, woe to us as a society,” Farber said. “We need these kinds of guidelines, these kinds of walls, in order to better protect human beings.”

      1. It’s not greed that infects the likes of Farber; it’s hopeless, terminal stupidity.

        1. I disagree.
          He’s a well-informed authoritarian.
The individual freedom of neighbors and strangers scares the shit out of him.
Frankly, its scares the shit out of all lefties and a whole lotta center assholes.
Most women are lefties – willing to give up everybody’s freedom for a (false) sense of state security.
Many men are nutless wonders (too many pube blockers?) and so they’re lefties too.
Many of them are stupid and I wish it were terminal.

          1. Naaah. Hes just a stupid little effin putz with a pretend job in a make-believe world. He’d show up with pom-poms at his own execution and wonder what he’d done wrong when the axe fell.

    1. I look forward to seeing the dumbfounded expression on Faber’s face when he is the subject of the laws he pushed for.

  6. Who is going to stop these totalitarian dicktators (sic)?
The whole show was taken over by the bottom feeders. It’s a lifetime job, don’t have to worry about lack of completely, utterly useless work. All they have to do is pick up any idiot that is not happy with himself, because of course, of others.
It would seem that comedy in future will be nonexistent.
It is actually those same bottom feeders and their political scumbags that need to be ridiculed on daily bases while it’s possible, until they go insane and perhaps will be eliminated from their position, though if you look at the majority of plebeians that vote, this would be highly unlikely.
Your everyday plebeian does not know what time of the day it is at any point, he could not care less as long as the “free” stuff is coming in. By the time things hit him in the face, it will be way late to think about freedom and pursuit of happiness.
Heh …. he may just enjoy the “safety” of dicktatorship (sic).

  7. Everything I know about Canadians I learned from the Covid experience, guess you could say that was the last straw for me with respect to what I think of Canadians. We make excellent sheep. No edict was deemed too absurd. Circles drawn out in parks…playground equipment taped off…arrows on grocery store aisles…plexiglas dividers…lone drivers of convertibles wearing masks. Snitches and Karens up the wazoo.
Anne Frank wouldn’t last a day in Canada.
The trucker’s convoy was a faint glimmer of pride but I was stunned by how many Canadians hated them and still do.
This online harms bill will be met with a collective shrug of the shoulders and a “Whatcha gonna do?”
    Hopeless.

    1. I agree entirely with everything you said. I’ve long thought most Canadians were dumb, passive, sheep. But the plandemic surpassed my dim view and actually startled me as to how scary stupid most Canadians are. Most of them would exceed the terrifying predictions of the Asch and Milgram experiments.

  8. The left has spent decades normalizing tyranny and transitioning vulnerable Canadians into little Nazis.

  9. “ the nation’s present simpering woke man-child PM”

    That’s a keeper!

  10. The Prime Menstruater is a coward.
    Most Canadians are cowards.
They’re all very concerned with what their neighbor is going to say or, worse, do.
(During the Wuhan, remember when Fat F**k Ford said, “If it saves just one life…” He should have been jailed immediately for stating that and he should still be behind bars today.)

  11. A major eye opener was reading sites such as National Newswatch and seeing the broad agreement between the official sites. When so called independent writers chose, on the same day, the same subject, the same headlines, the same wording and the same arguments, all from writers with nontechnical educations and a complete ignorance of the subject matter. Telford’s rolodex perhaps?
Five minutes with a calculator and a significant number of authoritative articles fall apart. Ah, the things engineers do for amusement.
