Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Oh, you mean the horse. For a moment there I thought, these Third World Chambers of Commerce were starting to get out of hand.
The first three , I am hoping . Will find out shortly .
By a nostril! Now THAT’S horse racing!
What a wonderful collection of awesome, well-muscled horses! My heritage includes a ranching tradition, but I am, less fortunately, an urban trail horse rider, unlike my competent southern Alberta first cousins.
That said, amazing horses were showed at the 31 Stampede parades and barns that I attended and races at other venues in Calgary over years. I just love the excitement of chuckwagon races (different wagon horses, who like to run with horse friends, plus the more independent outrider horses).
Among the Kentucky Derby winners, I remember Triple Crown winner in 1973, Secretariat (1970-1989), with a french Canadian trainer and jockey. I was at home for 1st baby with 2 TV channels, so enjoyed the excitement of his races leading up to the triple crown, especially Belmont.
