So … the “simplicity” of EV’s relative to ICE vehicles will result in a 40% reduction in auto employees. Wow! That sounds a lot like EV’s will cost 40% less than ICE vehicles … right? So why do EV’s cost at least 40% MORE than ICE vehicles?
You will be filthy rich, or own nothing and be happy. Or else.
Those suppliers should pivot to stockpiling spare that will keep the existing ICE powered vehicles on the road. That’s going to be a big (and possibly black) market.
