  1. This airline has turned into a shit show. One crisis after another. Time to get a new CEO and Board of Directors

      1. You will eat the bugz available from the stewardesses and you will be happy.

    1. Perhaps, but what is essentially an illegal strike is on the union. And they should be sued out of existence.

    1. More DIE hires should fix all this!

Interesting that they had no insight or info that this might happen?

  2. Air travel doesn’t comport with 15 min. cities. Who NEEDS to travel by artificial means to far flung destinations?

Your government betters have spoken. There will be NO intervention to settle the strike.

      1. You mean Shameless the Clueless.

He’s upset that they didn’t follow his unstated expectations that he didn’t have authority to make. Sorry Seamus, there ain’t no section BS of the Law even though you Lieberals make ‘em up as you go.

        1. Shame-us O’ Wrong Again!
The same guy who excoriated Rob Ford for his substance abuse when he checked into rehab, then Shame-us says he has a drinking problem (He’s Irish, it’s in the genes ya know) and checks into the SAME rehab facility and is hailed as courageous and brave!

Therein lies your problem, figure out the solution to that and you’ve won the game!

  3. If United or American was allowed to fly in Canada, we could say goodbye to these lousy subsidized and protected carriers.

    1. Choose the “little guy” like Porter, etc.
small airlines are usually better (i’ve worked for mostly small carriers) they have the personal incentive to make things work, before they get bloated and subsidized and turn out like all the rest..
Aviation is a very tough industry, with heavy regulations. The saying is: “How do you make a small fortune in aviation? Start with a large one!”

      1. Flew recently with Porter. Their departure from Edmonton was 70 minutes late, and when they got to Toronto, the connecting flight to Miami was over four hours delayed. The only upside was that the delay to Miami made up for the fact that getting us to Toronto 70 minutes later than they were supposed to wouldn’t have left us enough time to clear U.S. Customs. We got to Miami around midnight.

        Canadian airlines are sh!t shows.

  4. We need a right-to-work law, making membership in unions optional. Half the states in the US have right-to-work. You know, the ones where all the jobs are.

  5. West Jet is, since 2019, controlled by Onex Corporation in Toronto. In other words, EastJet. So like Air Canada but with cowboy hats. That neat airline you remember is gone forever and only a distant memory. Hey, how about Wexit Jet? Catchy.

    1. WorstJet had problems with ethics for a long time. Remember when they hired a senior executive away from AC and used his passwords to steal AC marketing plans.

Ever since Heather’s hubby at Onex toke over, the bean counters and MBAs have been squeezing it and what’s left of the original employees dry

  6. Read Westjets releases and then read the unions, anyone with half a brain can see who responsibility lies with. Westjet. They’ve been screwing over their staff for the last decade and it’s gone too far.
Source:fly every other week with bit Westjet and AC, close friends work for both airlines.
