Canada Day in Calgary

I’m back “home” in Canada for a few weeks. Yesterday, I took in all of the activities in Downtown Calgary. It was rather fun. I captured 434 photos and 21 videos. The only “Canada” shirt I have with me on my travels is a black one with this emblazoned on the back. I walked around with it proudly.

  1. Good job. We hoisted the Red Ensign on our flag pole yesterday. It’s still flying this morning; no one tore it down overnight.

  2. yep.
l got a ‘fringe minority’ bumper sticker on my newly installed front storm door.
and l got to see the local f[maple leaf]ck trudeau pickup truck.
lve truly never seen this type and level of raw hatred for the nation’s ‘leader’.

I may have seen the Vancouver truck yesterday, but I hope not.

There were about 10 vehicles, led by what looked like a white pickup that I have seen before honking and flying the F*uck Trudeau flag but I barely got a glimpse of the truck. The disturbing thing is that this little convoy was a “Free Palestine” one…lots of flags and honking of the “free free Palestine” chant. I hope it was not the same people.

    1. depending on the size of your community there’s a threshold where chances are there’s a T-shirt custom printer. copyright? meh. deal with it. l got one set up shop a block and a half away

  3. Canada Day is like celebrating how wonderful your landlords house is, when all you are is a cheese-eating renter. Canadians are Subjects of the Crown, not sovereign citizens like Americans. The Crown owns Canada, its government and institutions, and everything within it is private property. Canadian Subjects are modern day feudal serfs and literally own nothing. Thank God you are next door to the United States of America.

    1. John, Americans own nothing as well. Stop paying your taxes and tell me what you own.

      1. Deflection, denial and effeminate arguments are not going to improve the situation of everyday Canadians.

      2. bingo V. anyone yammering about USA and property rights hasnt looked at
        -eminent domain
        -HOAs
        -squatters rights

        for starters.
also the widespread constitutional breaches committed by those tasked with . . . . . defending them? aka cops.

  4. After 8-1/2 Years of Trudeau Jr. malfeasance does anyone believe in Canada Day anymore? Btw my youngest is taking Gr 12 Social. Her textbook is titled “Ideology”. Smh.

  5. We were at an Intercounty Baseball League game last night and among the sea of red and white, I spotted a woman wearing a “Trump 2024” sweatshirt. Gotta love it!
