Nope, you tax him to death.
Yeah what about farmers…and truck drivers… and small retail businesses … and sawmills, and, and, ….
Every step of the way the government collects taxes on production, which of course has to be paid by the next level, and on, until it gets to the final level where the consumer pays with after tax money.
The more steps in the process, the more the consumer pays.
Tilapia … GROSS!!
You’ve just converted me into a Carbon Tax true believer
Tilapia: old Bantu word meaning “swimming snot”.
In Canada!? Land of a thousand lakes, oceans, and sport fishing galore … and this Euro-plant chooses Tilapia?
I’d sooner eat a good old Canadian “snot rocket” (northern pike) than a tilapia any day!
No carbon tax and no residence recreational fishing licenses.
Fishing licenses are as useless and oppressive as the license plate renewal sticker on your vehicle plate.
Every time the Government taxes the citizenry “to help the poor”, the country ends up with more poor. Canada didn’t have 2 million people relying on food banks and people skipping meals before the Trudeau carbon Tax.
But, many voters asked for this predicament. More than once.
no no no no. they didnt ‘ask’ they DEMANDED IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.
showing us all the lesson Goebbels learned in the early 30s that propaganda DONE PROPERLY works and whom the TURDeau is now channeling
Deliberately making food, energy and housing more expensive are policies designed to increase poverty and government dependency. So it isn’t surprising that increased poverty and government dependency is exactly what we are now seeing in Canada. The Trudeau Liberal-NDP government policies have been a disaster for Canadians. Homelessness is up. Food bank usage is up. Unemployment is up. Families struggling to pay for basic needs is up.
Great job Liberal and NDP voters.
Government at it’s finest. The less of it we have, the better off we are.
I have never voted for the Liberal Party but at least the old post-PET Liberal Party understood that you had to make money to pay for big government social programs. The Trudeau Liberals are destroying Canada’s economy while radically increasing spending on social programs, foreign aid and government employees. Incompetence or malice? It looks more like malice to me…with a huge helping of blatant corruption.
The destruction of Canada’s economy is even worse. Carbon tax affects all of Canada’s exports. Canada’s principal exports are: oil and gas; food in the form of wheat, canola and fish; transportation, particularly cars; chemicals; wood and pulp and paper. You could not design a program to better destroy Canada’s entire export economy than a carbon tax.
So, while Justatwit and Garden Gnome Barbie are impoverishing Canadians directly by the carbon tax, they are also making Canada’s products to overseas customers uncompetitive by adding what is in essence an export tax.
Helping the homeless population….Grow.
You didn’t get the memo John,
They aren’t homeless anymore, they are to be called “Unhoused”.
very correct. iow they *had* a house, then voted for the TURDeau (which ones only they know) and like sewage flows downhill, the very predictable happened.
lets see how many CONTINUE to vote for the TURDeau and replacement.
that is the hopelessness l see in Canaduh. a populace BRAINWASHED
The power of taxation revealed Justin time (I hope).
We are barbarians who must be tamed, bettered by our betters. Theory matters to them; it should to us.
Frederic Bastiat in “In the Law” (1850) took issue with assumed wisdom of the neo-regals, as we finally have?
“Since the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to allow them liberty, how comes it to pass that the tendencies of organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their agents form a part of the human race? Do they consider that they are composed of different materials from the rest of mankind? They say that society, when left to itself, rushes to inevitable destruction, because its instincts are perverse. They presume to stop it in its downward course, and to give it a better direction. They have, therefore, received from heaven, intelligence and virtues that place them beyond and above mankind: let them show their title to this superiority. They would be our shepherds, and we are to be their flock. This arrangement presupposes in them a natural superiority, the right to which we are fully justified in calling upon them to prove.”
Unenlightened despotism reigns as we give them the revenues to rule us, year after year, decade after decade.
Aided by imaginary hobgoblins. They can’t live without us but try to convince us we can’t live without them.
That contradiction fully evident in our era of government induced inflation, coercion and collectivist cowardice.
Meh. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a day…deport him and you won’t ever have to deal with him again.
Stop overthinking shit.

Wrong slogan “Axe the Tax”!
“Free the West” is my response.
The carbon tax needs to be scrapped because it’s premised on a great lie.
They never talk about that though. Do they?
