    1. Populism is rule in the interest of the population. Our current system is rule in the interest of the bought, or “botulism”.

  1. Great analysis. It just leaves out one major dimension: cultural populism. People are sick and tired of the massive immigration shit, the Muslim shit, the gay shit, the “indigenous” shit, the BLM shit and all of the other assorted shits that stain our society. It is social decline, not economic decline, that will be the ultimate death of our world as we know it.

    1. And the 8lb bag can no longer hold 10 or more lbs of this shit. It’s all spilling out … all over everyone.

  2. If P&C insurers have a positive return on investment it helps sustain lower rates. Win/win.

  3. “ Residents of the Canadian Prairies with a bit of historical memory know what populism is all about. We were doing populism here decades before most of today’s media pundits ever heard of it. The United Farmers of Alberta, the agrarian Progressive Party of the 1920s, the wheat pools and Social Credit were all populist movements. Even Saskatchewan’s CCF was a sort of populist-socialist hybrid.”

The professor makes no mention of the more recent “Reform” attempt to make things right.
An example of history repeating itself.
    Will we ever learn.
