In the continuing Clean Electricity Regulations series, we have the first of two stories from Cenovus, Saskatchewan’s largest oil producer:

Clean Electricity Regulations: Cenovus Energy (Overview) – a much more detailed piece will be published tomorrow.

“In Saskatchewan specifically, we are concerned that the tight timelines required to adhere to the CER will risk power shortages and grid instability.” – Cenovus

  1. With the foliowing two statements, Cenovus has already lost the battle because the company has accepted the main premise that the climate change scam is based on, namely that net zero is a desirable and necessary goal.

“Our commitment to environmental, social, and governance performance is key to how we work and approach sustainability at Cenovus.”

“Cenovus recognizes the need to address emissions associated with electricity generation to move the Canadian economy toward net-zero emissions by 2050.”

    1. And who within Cenovus encouraged & made the ultimate decision to accept said Premise..??
Those affiliated w/ESG and imbued with DEI.

A Corporate DIESEASE that continues to spread…

Nowadays, When ya walk into an Admin Building on pretty much any Oil/Oil Sands site – you’re greeted with Printed WOKE BS and Pride Flags. I’ve see it first hand at Suncor.
IT’s enough to make one VOMIT.

    2. You can sustain yourselves by producing the product that will keep Canadians alive for another couple of hundred years or more. Coal, oil and gas. Without it billions will die, not just a few million Canadians.

  2. The pap slurping indoctrinated have groveled to subscribe to the fiction of a net-zero world. Ignoring that one side of the equation tilts exponentially left of zero.

Strangling the available sources of energy in favor of a specious claims of an unreliable alternative is madness. Subjecting citizens and business to a precarious fate by adherence to precocious ideological focus is self destructive to a whole society.

Presuming humans could effect a significant change to earths climate is arrogance unbounded, marginally better than heaving nubile virgins into volcanoes.

Slaughter millions of people on the altar of fictional climate change, then doom the remnant to an absence of available energy for heating, cooling, transportation and the distinct pleasure of living. Any sub mission to this insanity is suicide.

    1. Your vocabulary is great, the average Canadian will not understand what you said. Truth has to be slammed at them in four letter words.

    1. Nope, just tried without even using the word other than f. Apparently the letter f has been banned.

  5. Ontario hydro just suffered a “loss of capacity” today during the terrible weather, so some of us have been without power for hours.
