The Slippery Roof Defense

Daily Mail- Secret Service director gives bizarre reason why an agent wasn’t on the roof where gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire on Trump

‘That building in particular has a sloped roof at its highest point. And so, you know, there’s a safety factor that would be considered there that we wouldn’t want to put somebody up on a sloped roof,’ she told ABC News in an interview Tuesday.

You mean like this?

    1. Speaking of slippery slopes … she’s just stepped onto one that should result in her IMMEDIATE termination.

      1. “sloped roof”

That’s her racist code for “Chinese manufactured roof”!!!

        She made the rules

      2. Is the death penalty on the table for somebody involved in aiding and abetting a criminal conspiracy to assassinate an ex-President and/or Presidential candidate?

        Inquiring minds want to know.

    2. A two year old could walk up that roof in the rain. Slippery minds is what we have.

  1. Well, the roof was white, and it is in Pennsylvania.
    Pennsylvania has snow and ice.
Quite logically she deduced with her great investigative skills that the white color could be snow or ice.

    1. Which would be very dangerous for the latest batch of sniperettes/markspeoplekinds who choose to wear red high-heels.

  2. Anyone who wants a preview of how the US military is going to perform in the near future can just look at the Secret Service.

I have wondered why China hasn’t made their move on Taiwan when we have a dementia patient as President, supplies of some munitions are low due to Ukraine, etc.

Obviously China feels more waiting will get the US to the point where we can’t even effectively deploy a carrier group to Asia to intervene.

  3. This woman needs to be hand cuffed to a steel table and asked pointed questions for fifteen hours.

    1. ” . . . asked pointed questions . . .”

. . . with a heated steel point. She should also be boycotted by roofers for the rest of her life.

  4. She’ll be testifying before Congress sometime in late July about how the buck stops with her.
It’ll be fun to watch Stefanik and Gaetz rip her a new one.

    1. Yes she needs to go before Congress where she can give no answers because “it’s an active investigation “. The only question that needs to be answered is , what will they try next? Of course I say this with no evidence. What is the saying, ” the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior “.

  5. To be fair those 2 Sharpshooters giving overwatch in the area had on their back: “POLICE” not “Secret Service” or any other US government markings.
They might have actually been local police or Sheriff’s Department cops.
    Just saying.

    1. I think local swat is normal procedure. Not allowing him to take the shot is odd.

      1. How long has the “don’t shoot until the shooter shoots” been in place.

Maybe they were watching Oswald the entire time…

  6. This has to be the stupidest response since Katangi- Brown(sp?) couldn’t define what a woman is. She has no business being in her present job.

    1. That metal building has just about the lowest slope possible. What a crock of shit … from the Chief Facilitator of Trump’s head shot. If it were 1865 … she’d already be swinging from the gallows just like Mary Surratt

  7. This morning a US Secret Service whistle-blower has revealed there were only 3 Secret Service trained agents on site in Butler, PA on Saturday. The stand-in agents (coz stand there is their skill set) are DEI hires from Mayorkas DHS.

Both Cheatle and Mayorkas should have been fired Saturday night.

    1. Ahh, so that explains the bobble head Charlie’s Angels. They were basically TSA agents in blazers and Ray Bans.

  8. Whatever actually happened or how, it’s inconceivable to me that any report of a person with a rifle, more than a minute before shots were fired, wouldn’t result in immediately getting Trump off the stage until all was clear. Maybe only if the principal is not DJT?

  9. ‘sloped’ roof?
sooooooo the SS limits themselves to ONLY flat roofs?
    WTF???????????????????????????????????????????
l wish l cd abduct this certifiable t**t and PRY IT OUT OF HER 3 BRAIN CELLS
how a ‘slope’ like THAT is such a limitation and impediment.
    jist sayin’ . . . . .

  10. She’s an example of intentional incompetence at it’s finest, and now she’s a patsy.
    1. Secret Service changes ‘Rules of Engagement’ to let sniper shoot first.
    2. Sniper kills Trump.
    3. Sniper gets killed.
    4. Truth gets buried with him.
I will never believe this wasn’t by design. This is the JFK playbook all over again.

Thank God Trump turned his head at just the right moment.

  11. I think MTG is on the committee that has called this DEI hire to testify. I hope she rips her to pieces. Metaphorically of course! We don’t wish our political enemies death like your typical prog!

  12. Just spit balling here – but why were Trumps shoes removed? Is this a good spot to give an injection? Would you feel it, especially considering the stress of the situation? An “special” mRNA? Trump dies of aggressive cancer within weeks? That would be a great insurance policy if the sniper missed. And I have no doubt the Deep State would have an insurance policy…..

      1. “The agents hit me so hard that my shoes fell off,” Trump told the New York Post. “And my shoes are tight.“

Were his shoes knocked off, or TAKEN off???

      1. You know the CIA has a bioweapons available. Poison, radioactive agents are all easy to find on an autopsy. But an mRNA shot or gene therapy shot? The nano-lipids used to deliver clear quickly. The mRNA or gene therapy could code for aggressive cancer.

I guarantee the CIA has such things. I also guarantee the Deep State would have a backup plan for the 20 year old punk.

Question for any doctors on here – is there a good reason to inject in the heel – in order to mask the injection from Trump (i.e. would Trump feel and remember an injection in his butt)?

        1. Dude… seriously, you think they had a shooter purposely miss the Presidents head by millimeters JUST so the Secret Service agents could tackle him, rip his shoes off JUST so some evil CIA agent could stick a needle in his heal??

    1. Less incompetence than willfull neglect. Nay, hopeful neglect. Nay, a groomed shooter, preplanned placement, and dispatching of the perp. Yes … just like in the movies.

    2. For a very long time I’ve told people who claim that an event is an “inside job” that’s it’s more likely an “inside BAD job” or incompetence. Let’s face it, even the US of A now seems to be taking lessons from the Keystone Kops. Canada took those lessons too but failed the test.

Thought just now: it’s women who have imbued our society with lethal “safetyism”. It’s everywhere you look now: one all too common example, cops standing down ‘cos they might get hurt.

      1. Cops standing down because it might hurt their gold-plated pensions. Bloated pensions.

  13. “details have revealed that a team of local police snipers were inside the building “
    teamwork is dreamwork

    1. Yeah, read that recently. It’s no laughing matter but I gave myself a momentary exemption.

  14. Trump needs to get his own security and just bill the feds. And she needs to remain in place as it will serve as still more evidence to the normies that the whole rotten, corrupt, mendacious, stinkin communist edifice commonly referred to as our “federal government” is broken beyond repair and needs to be pulled out by the roots and put in the compost pile.

  15. That roof doesn’t look to be much of a angle. Plus the snipers never work on high angle roofs?

    Come-on.

    Try another lie lady.

    1. I feel like I’ve seen a photo of counter snipers on a steeply pitched roof before. Some old Victorian hotel or something. Cruching between the pointy round roof of a tower and the main roof. A church maybe.

Maybe I’m thinking of a movie.

  16. Incompetence is getting harder and harder to buy. But it’s what they’re trying to sell. What else can they do? Be a tough go if the American public found out their own government tried to kill one of their own political leaders.
This is still coming into my YouTube landing page today – “Donald Trump injured in shooting at Pennsylvania rally.”

  17. SDA, home of conspiracy theories ad nauseum.
If serious people wanted Trump dead, you’d think they would hire someone more competent than a 20 year old math wizard with a reputation as a piss poor shot.
All any half competent shooter had to do was aim at Trump’s torso and fire the whole clip into him. Most probably would have hit him and he’d be dead. It was a lone whacko who decided to kill a man he’s been propagandized to hate.
Why not call Trump’s survival “divine intervention” while you’re at it and then ask why God didn’t protect the fireman with the kids.

    1. He was wearing a bullet proof vest. Apparently that started only recently.
      Hence the head shot.

  18. don morris:

Whoa, nailed it with the lack of divine intervention for the foreman who covered his daughters.

BUT, must take issue with your conspiracy theory smear on SDA.
Today, with the deep DEEP state that visits ruination on us daily, the smart position is to assume THEY are lying until proven otherwise.

“Everyhing the state says is a lie and everything it owns it has stolen”.
    – Friedrich Nietzsche

  19. just called their 202 number inquiring about employment;
“hi! lm afraid of heights but l understand you are reticent putting agents on rooftops”
call ended with me yelling ‘godam incompetents’ or such

    1. They’ll all say they cannot reveal any details to protect the modus operandi of how the Secret Service works.

  20. Is it any wonder we have all become “conspiracy theorists”? The Deep State has MADE us that with their LIES and blatant deception

  21. And not unlike ““…the buck stops here…” trope that grates on me like nothing else the correct terminology is pitch of a roof NOT “slope”. UGH!!!

  22. Recently had my roof re-shingled, and it is twice as steep as that metal roof. Roofers were walking on it carrying tools, shingles , etc. with no problem.

Can this dangerous moron before other innocent people die.

    1. Most of my roof pitches are 8:12 … 8 vertical to 12 horizontal that my roofers skipped across like it was flat.

  23. Not excusing the spectacular fail, but even a shallow-sloped metal roof can be surprisingly slippery. If you look at the videos (yes they are there online) of the shooter “bear-crawling” up that roof, you will see that he is having some difficulty moving up that roof. It was definitely a slippery one.

That doesn’t mean that putting surveillance or a CS team up there wasn’t the right thing to do, but it would have required a few more measures like anti-fall harnesses and “grippy” shoes to make it safe.

    1. Dave; post-incident photos show the response members standing around Crooks body, on the roof, apparently totally unaware they’re on a dangerously slippery roof… 😉
(not mocking you, Dave, just suggesting evidence of a very stable surface.)

It also just occurred to me that that metal roof, inspite of being a light colour, had been in the sun for hours ; it would have been very hot to the touch. I’m surprised that Crooks was able to lay on it comfortably, apparently (?)…

  24. When you think about it.. Everybody failed and one man got lucky.. So.. The assassin was on the roof of a police command center.. He was discovered before the attack and still managed to put 5 rounds down range..

Everybody needs to get fired if it was incompetence.. Heads need to roll if it was a conspiracy..

    1. When you also consider that, besides making sure no one can get on a roof, standard policy is to put things like cranes, billboards, etc. temporarily in some locations to keep people from outside of the perimeter from having a view (or shot) of the target, it becomes really hard to think of this as anything but a setup.

  25. Is it election interference when the administration uses the Secret Service to try to murder their political opponent?

  26. “The decision was made…” is very passive. Who made the decision? why? where is the justification?

  27. The woman in charge needs to resign. I know she has already refused, but she should not be given a choice. If she is not fired, I will assume she was just following orders.

    1. Linda; she was a Biden appointee and Mayorkas is her boss. I don’t see much chance of her being fired. After the election mind you… 😉
