Friday On Turtle Island

Blackie’s Canada:  Trudeau’s green agenda.  So was Hurricane Hazel caused by global warming?  Try out Justin’s new military for a few months.

Dementia Joe’s America:  The confusing life of leftists.  An exceptionally dim Vox writer.  New White House doctor.  This week in really big lies.

Today In Islam:  The resettlement of savage black Americans in Egypt.  This week in jihad.

Your morning meme.  Another meme.   A cartoon.

  1. Team JD Vance Begin Announcing Policy Proposals, Starting with Elon Inspired Carbon Taxes

read Sundance this morning, told you about JD Vance.

    1. Did you listen to Trump’s speech and the part about taxes? Trump also had something to say about EV mandates. And he also has a plan for returning the US to energy independence.

I don’t think Musk found those parts of the speech to be particularly *ahem* inspiring. Now we’ll see if Elon keeps his $45 million commitment, eh?

    2. I agree, I told my friends, JD is aligned with Globalists like Elon. Just watch Elon, he is a snake. He will want a pile of favours for pouring $45 million a month to “help” President Trump.
JD is no hillbilly, he is another IVY Leaguer that we need to vet over the next 4 years or less…

  2. I skipped the videos of Chowdog and PM Backstabber because they’re idiots.
If global warming exists, its caused by the Sun.
If global cooling is coming, its caused by the Sun.
If there are more floods, more “exshtreme” weather, its caused by the Sun.
If you have a problem with the climate, shake your fist at the Sun.
(From now on I’m going to capitalize Sun.)
    Happy Friday.

    1. I skipped it too. But I already know that if you want research and the scientific method completed to understand and solve a problem you want to be as far away as possible from Olivia Dog Chow and Mme Trudeau.

  3. “A public fight broke out between Yoav Gallant and Benjamin Netanyahu Thursday over the medical treatment of Gaza children, with officials in the Defense Ministry accusing the prime minister of playing politics with lives at stake.

An official in the Defense Ministry told The Times of Israel: “The prime minister is keeping a hospital for injured children from being opened up for political reasons.””

All killing of all innocents must stop immediately. Everyone knows this.

    1. Egypt says a mass exodus from Gaza would bring Hamas or other Palestinian militants onto its soil. That might be destabilizing in Sinai, where Egypt’s military fought for years against Islamic militants and at one point accused Hamas of backing them.Oct 18, 2023

  4. Over a 20 year period, Comrade Chow’s Toronto has spend $1.8 billion on their Wet Weather Flow Master plan, with another $4 billion teed up between now and 2032.

And it did nothing for the typical flooding spots on Toronto, like downtown subway stations, or the bottom of the Don Valley Parkway.

    1. As many have pointed out in the past, building in a flood plane is stupid and people still do it. And you can’t fix the problem with better drainage because people ignore historical weather events and build despite what history tells them.

      1. Calgary is built on the flood plain created by the Bow and Elbow Rivers. It was not a good idea in June 2013.

  5. “The International Court of Justice is set to issue an opinion on Friday on the legality of Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories, the first time the world’s highest court has laid out its stance on an issue that for decades has been the subject of debates and resolutions at the United Nations.

The court’s advisory opinions, while not binding, carry authority and legal weight. Friday’s session is receiving heightened attention because of the war in Gaza, which is now in its ninth month, and because of a separate genocide case brought by South Africa against Israel in December over its conduct in the war.

In January, the court ordered Israel to restrain its attacks in Gaza, and in May it ordered the country to “immediately” halt its military offensive in the city of Rafah, in southern Gaza.”

    1. Given that the Arab world declared war on Israel the minute it was created, a declaration that exists to this day, the ICC can pound sand. The ICC is an absolute joke. Like you. “The court’s advisory opinions, while not binding, carry authority and legal weight.” Run along now and play with your toys.

  6. So the same politicians who are saying they want to provide incentives to homeowners not to pave over too much of their land are the same politicians who want to increase density and put 4 home units on a single lot. How do you square that circle?

  7. Great Hallowe’en costume. I would also add a stick of gum. I could be wrong (probably am) but she looks like she’s chewing gum. Maybe she’s talking but when I first saw the video, I thought, “is she chewing gum?!”

  8. The CF for 18 months? Does that include the 12+ months you will have to wait to actually get an offer from a reruiting center? This is indicative of how little they know about military trades and the contempt they have for them. You can barely get anything useful or productive out of a military member in this time. If all the stars align right and there is no waiting between basic training and the first school, you can get a very basic apprentice in about 10 months. And I am being generous. All that a person will see of the military during this time is basic training, which sucks, and the basic trades school where they will learn their first trade. There is a high probability this will be in Borden, which sucks. All this time staying in barracks 4 to a room and eating mess food. These are part of the training system, ridgid and unpleasant on purpose, and different from real military life in many ways. Nobody misses the training system and nobody has fond memories of it. Yeah, great plan, I’m sure people will sign up for more after that experience.

  9. Temps in the military? No problem. We’ve already seen how the US Secret Service does with Temp Agents

    1. “Temps” is not necessarely a problem; for example Reservists that work 2-3 days a week or those in the many “militia”units that train on weekends and summers. Some are semi-retired (read: trained and experienced) others do take a while to train part-time. Not a problem. But the concept of having full-time “short timers” is different. You’d burden the training pipeline with individuals that are not slated to stay in the CF. You’d waste money training them up to be apprentices and get very little in return before their contract is up. I guess they hope some of them will sign up for longer service. Do young people want to spend a couple of the best years of their lives gambling they might like the military? Especially with this DEI business and open discrimination against white men?
