    Selling natural gas to Iran (that exports a lot of it) is like selling snow to Eskimos, but as the neighbours of Russia say, “Russian buisness” is to steal a box of vodka bottles, then sell it and finally get drunk on the money. I wonder what’s next – oil to Saudi Arabia at a negative price (with Russia paying)?

    After reading news like this one, it’s particularly amusing to think of schweinie-lovers who, like the human-fancying pigs themselves, thought they controlled the world with their hydrocarbons and Europe would perish without them.

    To be fair, $100 per thousand cubic meters of gas, quoted in the article, is still much better then $50, which is what the Chinese reportedly offered for the gas supplied over the allegedly planned pipeline hilariously touted by the Ruϟϟischeschweinen Propaganden.

I was listening a couple of days ago to an economic podcast at Kremlinka Show (Polish only sorry) where they were looking at russian energy experts (again), turns out that russia is burning off natural gas at quantities they have never burned off before. A lot of their oil deals are there only to keep the infrastructure going. Once you shut down a Siberian field reopening it may well be prohibitive. Also, they seem to be exploiting available fields only and not doing any new exploration. Good the sooner the whore collapses the better.
