Crazy times. I was 12 years old during the mid sixties and in retrospect I always thought it was a weird time so I was never on board with it all…it was just weird. iI’s Interesting to note that in the early sixties disapproval of the Vietnam war among ivy league students was 6%. Once Johnson began throttling college deferments to bolster enlistment numbers it shot up to something like 90%.

No summer of Love for me. But my 18yo brother in law went straight to Nam … which he survived … but pretty well WRECKED him. Thankfully … Richard Nixon ENDED the pointless war we weren’t prepared to win … so I was literally saved from Nam at age 17 … just in a nick of time
