      So, we can’t blame Trudeau for this one. Where’s Danielle Smith on this?

         1. Yes, and while I’m happy enough with Danielle, she is going to have to deal with the consequences of this and it sure would be nice to think she’s laying some groundwork. This is after all one of the worst scandals in Alberta history. She’s not responsible for it, but she must take care not to be responsible for letting them get away with.

            Yes, she has to be cautious about appearing to interfere in a court case. But would be nice to have some pressure on her to do something, or at least acknowledge it.. Are questions being asked in the legislature?

2. I will make the assumption that the Coutts action was a “Mr Big entrapment scheme” until proven otherwise, given that there were at least 3 female RCMP undercover agents present in the Coutts group, who may or may not have perjured themselves in both their warrant applications and their testimony.

3. I can’t recall if I’ve commented before, but I really like this photograph. I’m craving a turkey club sandwich right now.

4. I seem to recall that Blackstone was very adamant that the king not allow double jeopardy on criminal cases. So Kanader now tosses about 4 centuries of legal precedence to continue with their favorite ploy, the process is the punishment. One wonders if they’re gonna import a new jury, from Queeebec or the University of Toronto staff.

5. This fiasco has gone on far too long.
   Justice would demand the hanging of every government minion involved.
   They are malicious oathbreakers.
   Willful vandals of the institution they are oathsworn to serve.
   Their treason is a vicious attack on the citizenry.

   And the Alberta Government is responsible.

6. I cannot understand how the elected representatives of the day, in this case the government of Alberta, don’t have the power to control what happens in the justice department.???? Shouldn’t they answer to the justice minister?? What good is he if they are just doing whatever the hell they want????

   I would bet everything that if the NDP was in power and they wanted to drop the charges against one of their socialist buddies, they would just do it and tell anyone who objected to get stuffed.

   For all the tough talk that the UCP, and Danielle, did before the election, I am convinced that they are more scared of bad media coverage than anyone else.

   I sure wish they would find their gonads.
