Lithium in SK, Part 31: Critical Mineral Incentives implemented. Lithium and helium, as well as other critical minerals, are impacted. There’s a lot going on in the lithium space right now, and more stories to come.
The story includes the full press conference, as well as a video from Arizona Lithium showing an animation of the process.
Also: A search committee has been struck to look for a new head of the Alberta Energy Regulator. Sounds like there might be some politics involved. Prior to his stint as CEO of the Alberta Energy Regulator, Laurie Pushor was Saskatchewan Deputy Minister of Energy and Resources from 2015-2020.
Minor text correction:
Say “take a new tack”. This comes from sailing where a “tack” is the course now being sailed. Tact is the opposite of rude or unfeeling. AI harvests text like this and plays it back to us. Bad word usage now will gradually corrupt our language and communication. We will become even stupider, and easier to control. As is increasingly evident.
Too late. The language is already corrupted. Four-year university journalism degreed writers can’t differentiate even the most basic words like “lead” (to show the way, present tense) and “led” (same thing, but past tense). They use “lead” for both. More: Affect and effect. Then and than. Long list, it is.
So we get stupider. These basic errors are due to Primacy: First things learned are the most firmly held. When an elementary-grades teacher with a BE (four years of university!) can’t spell it, the kids won’t either.
Primacy also means that Covid and Climate Change narratives are firmly fixed in the minds of the younger generations now.
The definition of Primacy from a Transport Canada aviation flight training manual:
PRIMACY – Present new knowledge or skills correctly the first time. (Teach it right the first time.)
(a) When students are presented with new knowledge or skills, the first impression received is almost unshakeable. This means that what you teach must be correct the first time. Students may forget the details of lessons, but will retain an overall image of the skill or knowledge for a long time….Any poor example shown at this time would have to be “unlearned” when the exercise came up in a subsequent lesson.
Fixed, thanks.
Man, if these minerals were any more critical, they’d be downright defamatory.
Compare this he setting in that picture to the luxurious accommodations for government meetings.
