Dispatches from the Maple Gulag Truck Stop

Yesterday evening, Thursday August 29, saw the end of sentencing hearings for Tony Olienick and Chris Carbert at Court of King’s Bench in Lethbridge, Alberta. Those hearings lasted four days, with both the Crown and Defense presenting various arguments for what they believed would be appropriate sentences regards the minor charges both men were found ‘guilty’ of in relation to the major charge of ‘conspiring to murder police officers’, for which they were found NOT GUILTY.

Final sentencing has been adjourned until September 9th, as briefs were submitted by the defense late on Wednesday evening, to my mind possibly related to the very concerning rhetoric of Justice Labrenz which was heard on Tuesday.

  1. The judge has his marching orders… and nothing will stop him from “setting an example” on behalf of his royal highness, Emperor Justin

  2. Really tells you what’s up in the corridors of power, eh? Looks like these guys are going to get nine years for standing around with their hands in their pockets.

Imagine if they actually did anything, eh? Like burn a cop car the way the Lefties are continually doing.

So on the one hand, we’re all supposed to be suuuuper skeered and stay home, right? But on the other hand, they are simply admitting there is no justice in Canada.

  3. There’s that old saying that “If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.”

Canada seems to be encouraging a variation of that. “If you’re going to do the time, you should have done the crime.”

Sheesh! The two-tiered, arbitrary, politicized, corrupt ‘just-us’ system in Canada is neck-and-neck with the US two-tiered, arbitrary, politicized corrupt ‘just-us’ system. It’s not supposed to be a contest, but it looks like the elites in both countries are going all out for the win.

  4. Time to face some honest, ugly truths about Canada under the Trudeau Liberal-NDP government:

The government tells RCMP who to investigate/arrest and who to not investigate/arrest.

The government tells the crown prosecutors who to charge and who not to charge with crimes. The government instructs them to ask for bail and reduced charges for violent, repeat offenders but maximum charges and lengthy sentences for citizens who challenge the government.

The government tells judges who to give quick bail, lenient sentences to and who gets long term remand and lengthy sentences.

The government tells the media what/how to report, what to ignore and orders up friendly op-eds by lackeys.

The federal government appoints and/or funds all of these organizations. Canada is the coldest banana republic on earth.

*The only part the federal government could not control was the Alberta jury but I suspect the judge will rectify the jury’s “mistake” in the sentencing phase.

    1. 100% LC.
I’ve said it before and will do so again.
Canada’s Liberal party is in EVERY WAY a Carbon Copy of the NSDAP.
      NAZI Filth.

      Convince me I’m wrong..??
When you have the leader of a country basically saying he finds half his population as undeserving of life and he will “replace them”…. or defecates on those who exercise bodily autonomy…

“…often Racist & Misogynist, who don’t believe is HIS Holiness’s “science” & therefore should not be “Tolerated”

A govt that Actually put out an RFQ for Internment KAMPFS…!!

      Yea THATS how NAZI talk.

I’d see that Entire LOT ENDED as Per Mussolini. (look it up folks)

      1. No question that the Liberals are following the Nazi playbook.

Hitler was named “Man of the Year” in 1938 by Time Magazine. They noted Hitler’s anti-capitalistic economic policies:

“Most cruel joke of all, however, has been played by Hitler & Co. on those German capitalists and small businessmen who once backed National Socialism as a means of saving Germany’s bourgeois economic structure from radicalism. The Nazi credo that the individual belongs to the state also applies to business. Some businesses have been confiscated outright, on other what amounts to a capital tax has been levied. Profits have been strictly controlled. Some idea of the increasing Governmental control and interference in business could be deduced from the fact that 80% of all building and 50% of all industrial orders in Germany originated last year with the Government. Hard-pressed for food- stuffs as well as funds, the Nazi regime has taken over large estates and in many instances collectivized agriculture, a procedure fundamentally similar to Russian Communism.”

    2. The Canadian government is rotten to the core but voters in the eastern half of Canada didn’t care until it affected their personal finances.

    3. But you also need willing and corrupt minions to make it happen. RCMP, TPS, prosecutors, etc. are more than happy to follow the orders.

  5. Canada, lacking a real constitution, is essentially a police state. Most people don’t notice it until the odd incident where someone or group (out of favour with the ruling Jacobins) challenges their authority in a confrontational manner. Indians, alphabet people, and Muslims can get away with most challenges that otherwise would be met with extreme prejudice. The truckers are Canada’s version of Tommy Robinson. The Eloi are content that their nanny-state is making an example of those that would challenge the power of their keepers with show trials.

    1. I used to think views like yours were exaggerated, almost extreme.
      Not anymore.
Something has to change, thoroughly and urgently.
The very serious question is, what can I/we actually do to change this situation?
(I refuse to think the answer is “nothing”!)

      1. Unfortunately, there is little that can be done. I came to that conclusion after the Trudeau government tried to strongarm the Attorney General of Canada in the SNC scandal. The media barely protested when the Trudeau government sabatoged Wilson-Raybould in the media, then fired her from the Attorney General post, then kicked her out of the Liberal Party for refusing to sell out to Trudeau’s alleged requests to go easy on SNC. What happened next? Naive, obtuse people voted for Trudeau Liberal Party again, after their gross abuse of power and privilege.

        Canada is lost, imo.

        1. I agree with Bennett. When a country is this bad the only two possibvle futures are Venezuela or Chile. And there’s no Pinochet coming to “save” us.

    2. Most people don’t notice it (police state) until …

Here, let me finish that sentence for you:

… it affects them directly, personally, and financially.

Otherwise 99 percent of the electorate sails blissfully on, unconcerned that the ongoing persecutions of their fellow Canadians may one day affect them.

Canada: old Huron word meaning “lots of tall grass to hide in”.

  6. Still no arrests by the RCMP in the destruction and firebombing of the Coastal Gas Link project in Northern BC more than two years ago. This despite there being video of the attack and there being a limited number of likely suspects in the area.

    1. Of course not. Don’t be silly. That vandalism will remain a ‘mystery’ forever.

But don’t you be standing around doing nothing when you’ve been told to go home, young man. Nine years for you.
