  1. Nice donation. Moving sask polytech over to the university area is a good move. The area of town polytech is in now just gets sketchier and sketchier, students really can’t live anywhere near the existing school. It’s also a very old building that wasn’t really adequate for integrating modern programs and modern technology.

The new campus will not only be in the university area but also near innovation place and research drive where private tech and government research is being conducted. In the work world, university grads in engineering and other STEMs work with the tradesmen and technologists from polytech programs so putting all the students in the same area where they can socialize makes sense.

  2. A few years ago an “evil” canadian oil company was hounded out of the Sudan or some such shit-hole-istan, activists in canadian courts made the project a loser, so they left. But while the company was there they supported a medical clinic and employed locals – which was not good enough for our holier-than-thou activists.

China took over the oilfield ten minutes after they left. I wonder if the Chinese employed locals and funded a clinic?

  3. Perhaps they could make a matching donation to the indigenous studies Dept.? OK … or the Women’s Studies Dept.? You know … college courses popular with the Canadian “Eco”-Leftists? Nevermind … those Schools and Departments already have $ multi-billion endowments.
