        1. I’m trying to research the dehired staffers’ names. Actually affirmative-action hire Omar Sachedina owns some of this, since he previews the video before it airs. Still can’t find any CTV National News director names. The senior directors at CTV news do not blindly put out video tape without viewing it first. Neither does the voice-over CTV reporter, Christine Tenagli: she has to see the video tape ahead of the time.

          2. Ab, it could be that they are reassigned. There’s plenty of video editing jobs within CTV outside of news, plus CTV runs many local news divisions around the country.

      I’m not buying any of it.

    2. It didn’t say fired, it said no longer part of the news team. No longer part of the news team would cover promotion, transfer to a safer job or firing.

      1. That would be the only place they could work as editors….the news department. CTV doesn’t do other productions on a national basis.
        They’ll likely be hired by the CBC and hailed as hero’s to the cause.

    1. We’ve been legally killing viable babies for 50 years and the Conservatives have not opposed this for almost all that time. Why do the Conservatives grant the Liberals and Communists any moral high ground in this matter? While I think there should be brutal capital punishment for late term baby killers, I also realize it isn’t possible under our system, as has Conservative leadership for 50 years.

      1. Canada is one of two countries that has no abortion law whatsoever. The other is N Korea. It has been like this since the 80’s. Successive governments both liberal and conservative haven’t touched the topic.

        This means anything goes. If you can find a doctor, you can abort in the 3rd term.

        Canadians demonstrate little appetite for change. Abortion is not an issue.
