Toronto Star- Bloc pension demands at odds with Liberal political strategy, economic plans
The Liberals have taken great pains in the last year to mould their political strategy around a sense of injustice among millennials and generation-Z Canadians who feel their work isn’t paying off like it did for previous generations.
While Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been touting policies aimed at “fairness for every generation,” the Bloc has given him until Oct. 29 to green light spending for its private member’s bill to increase old age security for seniors under the age of 75.
But Laval University economics professor Stephen Gordon disagrees, noting older seniors are typically more in need.
How many other economics professors did they check with, or did they just go to the one the liberals recommended?
?.. A great many CANADIANS work and pay taxes their entire life without a pension plan.. Everybody getting the same amount may be personal choice fair, but it doesn’t do a thing to help seniors living in poverty and our ability to pay for it..
We got money for every DUMB IDEA in the world.. Hell, we borrow money to give it away to foreign nations who hate us.. But no money for the pension-less dishwasher who washed 10 million of your dishes.. That’s crossing the line..

How about just give seniors the same percent of a raise every year that MP’s get. This year MP’s got about 5%, I got 1about 1%
The Liberals will buckle and just borrow more money that your grandchildren will have to pay back for their entire lives.
