Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Doctor’s kids usually become Doctors. Rocker’s kids become rockers … if you want to call this rock. I must say … that’s a most impressive and listenable tune. There’s space between the notes of Dweezel’s solo … timing and melody. And how can you not like a rock tune with a xylophone!?
OK … here’s my favorite rock tune featuring xylophone…

Including a lead xylophone solo!! … at 1:09 followed by disjointed discordant guitar fills that are super cool. Gotta love the Violent Femmes post punk new wave alternative … pop.
The Femmes were always one of my favorites. Check out any Zappa tune with Ruth Underwood on vibes/marimba/xylophone. Mind blowing.
Dweezil does as good as he can, but he ain’t Frank, nor can anyone play marimba like Ruth Underwood,
I love that they strive to keep Frank alive, though.
Frank, Ruth, Chad, George, and company, were the best Frank invention.
Saw him in Denver in August, on the Roxy/Apostrophe 50th anniversary tour. Fantastic show, papa would be proud. He has serious chops and his reverence for Frank’s music is palpable.
Now for some political comment from Frank from the 1970’s with Don Pardo.
