  1. Well I must admit I have yet to meet a healthy vegan either mentally or physically that didn’t supplement their diets with B complex vitamins.

  2. From the article: “The Vegan Society strongly recommends that vegans consume B12 vitamin supplements or include foods fortified with the vitamin, like breakfast cereals, in their daily diet. It warns: “If for any reason you choose not to use fortified foods or supplements, you should recognise that you are carrying out a dangerous experiment – one that many have tried before with consistently low levels of success.”

One would like to think this knowledge indicates the vegan lifestyle is neither natural nor healthy and should be avoided.

  3. I worked for a WWII generation Japanese-American man … who spent the war in the Tule Lake Detention camp and got his UC Berkeley degree after he was released … a great man who built a great business. He used to always say that every crazy person needed to eat more meat. That was his answer for every crazy thing that happened. The perp needed to eat more meat.

So even a sashimi eating Japanese man understood how crucial meat is to the human diet. BTW … he cooked a sumptuous Prime Rib every year at his New Years Party.

  4. Eating the weevils infesting their rice and pulses would contribute B12 to their diet but this generation is just too squeamish or sanitary.
