Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Nylon insert lock!
If I possessed any amount of graphic design capability, I would be adding the Lisping Loser nut and of course the Sellout Singh nut. Elizabeth May is already represented by the wing nut. But alas….
That is too nutty!
I knew each and every one of them and how and why they are used after 42 years in manufacturing, primarily in assembly.

For extra points, what’s the difference between a Reed & Prince screwdriver and a Phillips head screwdriver?
Here’s more than you ever wanted to know about screws and screwdrivers.

And let’s just leave blind fasteners for another day, shall we?
I worked at this place for several years. We didn’t sell many wood screws, but I’ve seen Reed and Prince before.

Half deaf in my right ear from the counting machines.
I’ve handled a lot of nuts.

Obviously a nylon lock nut, they’re beautiful.
I think adding the relative strengths of the nuts “grade 5 or 8” for example would be helpful for some..
