Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

And Al Gore said we need to waste MORE tax dollars on sciency Research and Studies to confirm, err determine whether Fossil Fuels are killing the planet. Lots MORE tax dollars to provide dubious “proof” of horrific climate catastrophe…
We may all face certain death … but the climate hucksters will go out in luxury.
A tax is a tax, is a tax.. We have to support all the professional grifters.. They are dropping out of school by the thousands every year.. Welfare for the rich.

Nothing new under the sun..
Good to see Al Gore displaying a robust entrepreneurial spirit, using unfounded fear early on to lay the ground work for his wildly successful climate businesses. American exceptionalism at work, even the useful idiots can do well in a land of opportunity.
It just so happens that I’m watching a college football game right now (Georgia Bulldogs vs Florida Gators) that is happening in the SUBMERGED STATE OF FLORIDA and I must say they are doing a fantastic job of keeping all this seawater off the field!
What have climate experts 4 generations ago predicted? Our grandparents had to listen to the same dumb doomsday predictions we had during the last 30 years.

Those 2 large buildings in the last shot are gone now. Not because of global warming, but Jihad.
Weren’t Florida and NYC supposed to be underwater by now?
Perhaps they will be. Probably about the same time we have perfect communism.
Any day now.
I so miss the Maldives.
Normal Vancouver fall rain is now called an “atmospheric river”, designed by enviro-freaks to scare the sh,, out of normal people.
Note to folks moving here: the North Shore is on a flicking mountain! Mountains do get lots of moisture; why is Whistler a cool spot for skiing? Because rain/snow falls in mountains in very predictable patterns. Check historical data.
It is a seriously bad idea to live in a flood zone too. Good luck to all the folks in Richmond who live in a delta.
First stop before you buy a home – historical data on the site. I live on 1907 landfill, but forgot to check. Lesson learned.
Dan Rather is now toast, and Albert Gore remains half-baked.
America dodged a bullet in 1999, when Bush beat Gore, but took it
on the chin in 2001, when domestic airplanes became El-Qaeda V3’s.
Gore’s revenge against America in 2006 was creating ‘An Inconvenient Truth’,
which ended the credibility of the Industrial Revolution, Climate Research,
Academy Awards, and Nobel Prizes.
This led to the rise of Barack (bin) Obama, who won a nobel prize in 2009 for
the success of his Impossible Mission ridding America of ‘clunker’ V-8s, in favour of
subsidized windmills and solar panels.
After 4 winters away from Florida we were going back this coming winter. Got a call telling us no go. Repairs will not be finished until at least late summer if then. We stayed on Gulf Blvd, on the beach, Pinellas County. The storm surge washed through the old place and damaged everything.
At my age I am used to things coming to an end.
That’s where I am right now, VOWG (just got here Friday). Except our place is just East of the Intracoastal and up a hill, such as they are in Florida. But it was enough to avoid storm surge damage from Helene and Milton.
It was just sheer dumb luck that our lot is sheltered a good bit from the wind. We had no idea when we first came here that it was about as good a pick for a spot out of the way of hurricane winds short of a Hurricane Andrew type of hit.
Called my (smart@$$ and very funny) neighbor for a damage report after Milton. I (smart@$$ myself) asked if I needed to bring down a broom and dustpan to clear our lot so we could start over. He said, “Nawww, not enough left to sweep up. Just bring down a leaf blower.” :o) :o)
We were very lucky, but that’s the hurricane biz for ya. Some are completely wiped out and some come through with barely a scratch and you never know which case you will be until afterwards.
Later today, we are going to cruise Gulf Blvd, to have a firsthand look at the damage. Helene and Milton were a double whammy for Gulf Blvd.
P,S. There’s a possible 3rd system developing down in the Caribbean, but I think it may hit Florida further South than where Milton came ashore. Cuba is in for it, regardless.
