  1. While I don’t support the raid in the first place, as I understand it, the squirrel bit someone. That’s why it was killed. To test for rabies. Exact same thing would happen if an unvaccinated dog bit someone. The test requires a sample of brain tissue. Sucks for the squirrel but rabies is no joke.
I was bitten by a bat in my mailbox years ago. Three horrible shots in the stomach and a lot of anxiety until animal control was able to catch the bat, chop its head off and test it.

    1. skill testing open Q, if thats the case why isnt that put out better to quell some of the outrage? oh, right, theyre all supermkt tabloids now not just some of them.
and if true l totally agree, how could it get rabies so sheltered? and ferfcuksake get him innoculated in the first place damnedable everyone that failed the little guy.

    2. Rodents catching rabies is almost never heard of. In fact no human in the history of the United States, where this occurred, has ever been known to catch rabies from a squirrel. Let alone a fully domesticated one. This sounds more like an excuse rather than reality. Besides, why was their domesticated raccoon put down as well?

      1. The reason they killed a raccoon is the same as cops breaking into your house and killing a non aggressive dog. They want to add animal attack charges to the list and hope they will enrage you in the process to file more charges or resting and assault. Cynicall, often sadistic killing of your pets is a psychological method of escalation so they get an excuse to f@#$ you up and then justify their thuggery. It is the same reason why they love to slam your wife against the floor knocking her teeth out or twist the arm of your kid out of socket.

It wouldn’t have bit anyone, if they hadn’t stolen it.
They did this to stir up Trump supporters , so they get angry and may riot when election is over, which they may steal, or if Trump wins, they may jail him. They want to use the military against the general public.

    4. Squirrels aren’t known for carrying rabies and the normal procedure for a suspected rabid animal is to hold the animal for observation for ten days before killing it. That was an excuse. The government got ONE telephone complaint from a woman who also has a pet beaver she was trying to make into an internet star. Peanuts owners had all the paperwork saying they could keep the squirrel because he wouldn’t survive in the wild. One unconfirmed X rumour I saw says Peanuts owner briefly had a mini maga hat on him. That triggered the telephone call. Others say she was just jealous of Peanuts success compared to her beaver and wanted the competition removed.

    5. “While I don’t support the raid in the first place, as I understand it, the squirrel bit someone. That’s why it was killed. To test for rabies.”

Yes, it bit the person who was attempting to grab it. There was ZERO reason to suspect rabies, especially on an indoor pet…and why kill the raccoon?

    6. If the bastards killed their child, you’d be finding some way to excuse them. Rabies was an excuse not a cause. They should never have been allowed in these peoples’ home.

    7. So why not quarantine the squirrel for whatever the appropriate time is to see if rabies develops, and if all clear, let it go home.
You can also test for rabies, can’t you?
Why kill the poor little thing up front?
So it bit some goon who was probably mis-handling it. Sucks to be a goon who can’t handle an animal sensibly.
And a full-on “raid”, when a low key call with a proper explanation about the concerns, and a sensible and low key action to ascertain if the squirrel or racoon did in fact carry any diseases? Really?
Common sense and common humanity seem to have left the building. That’s actually what’s dangerous.
You get the feeling that for these goons it’s only a small step from animals to humans …

    1. Nobody, the squirrel never bit anyone. Why would you expect some low level bureaucrats to be truthful about that? The screwed up, and, what is typical for cops when they screw up, they started lying in perfect harmony. The whole op was probably just a fund raiser to justify their budget. They were convicted they got to torment some defenseless family, maybe get a promotion or a reward and no one would care. It turned out that people care. But that does not change as much as we would like, they will continue lying nevertheless. They will probably try to harm the family again on election day when the attention will be elsewhere.

Yup , only an idiot will make it all about, and only about cops. It was animal control assholes that did this.

        1. They were cops you braindead jackboot licker. Animal control cops are also cops. It does not matter which alphabet agency they work for. ROE are the same. Besides, if your inbred ass has bothered to listen to the interview with the family posted at SDA yesterday, you would have learned that four departments, not just animal control, participated in the raid.

        2. Cops of whatever stripe are the frontline troops in the war being waged against the normies. They should be demonized mercilessly.

    2. Exactly, if the agency was genuinely concerned about a rabies threat, why weren’t their staff in protective gear?

    3. Exactly! Who tries to SEIZE “illegal, wild animals” without gloves?

Which goes to show that these Eco-police are complete FRAUDS and INCOMPETENTS. Thy know LESS about the REAL environment than anyone who lives outside the cities and suburbs.

  2. This story doesn’t add up.
That said, it sure does expose and spread awareness of bureaucratic overreach, arrogance, and thugishness.

    1. Two X accounts call out the bureaucrats of NY DEC: Sean Mahar and ER Ringewald. But, assuming Longo’s claim of a 5 hour long, armed SWAT style raid occurred, I’d like to know the name of the judge who authorized this action over a squirrel. Why did it take them 5 hours anyway? Is this SOP?

      1. What makes you think there was a judge involved? the Bureaucrats involved would likely claim it was under the “Plain View Circumstance” that they raided, on the basis that they “observed” a violation on the internet, so they could go whereever they needed to to seize the animal.

        1. Supposedly there was a warrant signed off by a judge. Can I confirm this, No. I’m going by Viva Frei who has plans to get the court paperwork. We shall see.

      2. “I’d like to know the name of the judge who authorized this action over a squirrel. Why did it take them 5 hours anyway? Is this SOP?”

They searched the entire house…cabinets, drawers, etc. Like they would on a drug bust.

        1. Hey, anyone who would own a squirrel and a raccoon must be on some good illegal drugs! While we’re here, let’s find them! Outrageous.

  3. Trying to get the actual facts about a story like this is like trying to get the truth out of Tehran…or Washington.

But there may well be a benefit to the travesty. Because as it stands, it seems to be a unifying f0rce of sorts for both the left and right. And to think that all it took was for someone to yell “Squirrel! Squirrel!” 🙂

  4. New York tax dollars at work. The First Thing Elon will do after Trump is elected is disband the Squirrel Death Squads.

  5. Any group of people that gleefully murder unborn humans at the rate that they do, can’t have any regard for any life form. They just can’t, their brains cannot work that way.

Children of the devil. Kill, steal, and destroy, that is all they know. Babies, Jews, animals, just a start for them.

  6. Demon Rats gotta demon rat.
    Davis,above,has it nailed.
If you hate, despise and fear yourself life just ain’t worth living.
    Especially other people’s.
    We have a simple choice.

    Banishment or Extermination..
Because that is all these fools have left us.
    Ironic,because for them,banishment is extermination.
Where for productive, tool using people, banishment is freedom..
So many times, productive persons have banished themselves to the far frontiers, made them thriving places, only to have the parasitic overload swarm in to “help”.

    1. “So many times, productive persons have banished themselves to the far frontiers, made them thriving places, only to have the parasitic overload swarm in to “help”.”
There-in lies the problem. The two nations at the top of the North American continent were formed in the most part by both the banished and the ‘self-imposed’ banished from Western Europe. From the Pilgrim Fathers who self-banished, to the outcasts of both the British and French court systems that were banished as punishment, the greater part of North America was ‘civilized’ and created. The ideology that caused the banishment success are h*ll bent on destroying what was created. A whole new chapter in history will be written depending on which side of the human equation wins the upcoming election.

  7. The government got ONE telephone complaint from a woman who also has a pet beaver she was trying to make into an internet star.

The world is full of wonderful people :)..

    1. “That squirrel had it coming. It was headed straight for the conservation agents.”

It’s COMING RIGHT AT US!! 🙂
