Never back down, never apologize: Reflecting on how the UCP convention became a 91.5% love-in for Smith
And right on time.
Breaking…
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is furious at Trudeau Climate Minister Steven Guilbealt and his announced oil and gas production cap: “I’m pissed! I’m absolutely angry…. This is a vendetta: he has a deranged vendetta against against Alberta, it’s very obvious…. He’s… pic.twitter.com/vPgJNLg4eo

Don Braid: Time for Smith to take economic action against Liberal Ottawa, and make it sting
A joke of a country where some appointed environmental minister controls your economy..
The door will hit his ass on the way out.
If AB or Sask. have it in their sights to carve out their place with securing provincial jurisdiction on anything, right in the next few months would be the best time for it.
Lawfare Recommended.
Saddle the incompetent Feds with every delay and legal tactic one can muster, until the Lib criminals are tossed out of office 12 months from now.
Time to teach THEM a lesson.
Better yet….lower emissions by shutting down pipelines to Eastern Canada.
Yup….let them have a taste of no western petroleum products for the Christmas season.
Live here in ontario, couldn’t agree with you more. Reality needs to clarify Ontario voters ideas.
I propose we cap the emissions of Climate Minister Steven Guilbeault by 100%. I know of only one way to accomplish that…
Grandad
I’ll supply the lead injection!
How long have you guy(s) been with the RCMP?
No shit. Little too obvious there, boyz…
I would laugh like hell if Smith publicly asked Ontario to support her position. Imagine the squirming.
The Notwithstanding Clause is obviously not necessary in this case unless the Liberal Party judges completely debase themselves for their Party, but, Provinces should have that clause ready to go every time the Liberal Party makes a move to hurt canadians and canada. The fact that they don’t use it reveals a dereliction of duty.
Bows the time to boldly and unapologetically state that CO2 is not a thermostat for earths temp and never has been.
Apparently she ain’t furious enough, ’cause up to this point all she’s done is write GD letters & take interviews…
C’mon, Danielle. How’s about you show you have a spine & withhold federal taxes, transfer payments, exercise that Notwithstanding clause a time or 13?
‘…. the party division was overblown, anyway …’
If you had a chance to listen to two radio stations in Calgary, you would think that Smith was on her last breath as the premier.
The political scientologists (sic) of the yapper shows were sure that she would lose. It was a cutting edge, fully possible that Smith would lose.
Well, they are after all scientologists, so their prophecies have no weight, they, in fact, know less then your average person that is interested in the affairs of men. These people talk and discuss the affairs with others that may or may not agree, the scientologist ruminate over their intellectualist schemes find their own conclusions impressive.
Interesting that today, a few days after the consensus on the leadership of Smith, the scientologists started masturbating the airways with how is she going to do this and that and she must, never mentioning one word of their failed prophecies. So much for the scientologists.
The 91.5 % number is rather unnerving, there must have been some percentage that had objection to one policy or another. Though it just may be that the difference were not that great.
You gotta remember this, the constitution of Canada gives the prime minister dicktatorial (sic).
The office of the prime minister decides on everything, who is better at sucking up to be a minister, relative awareness of the job is way down the list.
First, of course, depends on what is your discharge equipment. Being a convict is not a problem if you got the ideology down.
You see, that convict that runs the ministry of environment, or whatever they call it in newspeak, can go on his own, as long as it is in sinc with the idiot. There is nothing that anybody in this country can do about it. Nothing.
You gotta wait for years to get rid of one dicktator (sic), only to be replaced by another.
The constitution of this country says so.
Quebec, how much propane do you use?
Be a shame if Alberta had to cut back. Of course this would be to comply with Monsewer Guilbeault’s request.
Quebec pays a carbon tax of $57/tonne.
Alberta pays $80/tonne.
https://energynow.ca/2024/04/trudeau-gives-quebec-special-treatment-on-carbon-tax/?amp
By 2030 Albertans will pay $170/tonne
Estimated that Quebecers will pay only $97/tonne.
“Only when they think we might get out will they do anything to keep us in!”
Ted Byfield
Harper allowed Justin to name the vast majority of senators.
Will the west ever learn?
Time to leave CON-federation.
I bet if Alberta stays in Canada Ottawa will treat us better soon. Hahahaha.
At some point in the next decade or two, the #Libranos will return to governing tier 2 Canada and they’ll have vengeance on their minds.
They’ll want to “get even” with the west of Canada for their years spent in the wilderness of opposition.
It’s better for AB/Sask. to separate while they can, and not wait for the #Libranos return.
The eastern #Libranos will never accept your right to make a living as you see fit, never accept your desire to be free from federal overseers delving into areas of exclusive provincial jurisdiction.
They’ll ban what’s left of your firearms, your right to read news from sources of your own decision, your right to free speech, your right to live without a yearly jab “for your own good”, and every other right you may think you have.
Separate for your children’s future.
