    1. The Election Commissioner?
A title created by comrade Notley?
WTF is Kenny doing? That office and its appointees should have been terminated the day after the election.

      1. And why is a partisan communist Election Commissioner judging the United Conservative Party? It wasn’t very long ago that cash in a KFC bucket is how leadership campaigns were funded and I don’t know if that was such a bad idea. I’ve abandoned Scheer. Kenney better smarten up. Exactly how is a fake conservative better than communists like Red Rachel? The Alberta brand of Conservative seems to be more interested in putting cash in the hands of their friends. Lessen the reach of government and you make me happy. Is no-one up to the challenge?

        1. It amazes me how people sing the praises of Ralph Klein and how good he was for Alberta. He was nothing more than a crony capitalist, which was hardly surprising as his predecessor, Don Getty, was one, too.

I remember when Klein addressed Albertans by means of a broadcast on the PBS station we get here. He ended it by referring to us not as citizens but as “customers” of the government. Balderdash! I’m not a customer of the government. I’m a citizen, I pay taxes, and I vote–I am the government and so is everyone else like me. Those clowns that were sent to the legislature think they’re the government but they’re, technically, supposed to be our representatives.

Similarly, I remember how he called for a summit to determine the economic future of Alberta. However, the minimum net worth required to be allowed to attend and have His Ralphness’s ear was 8 figures. The ordinary working stiff wasn’t allowed in and, as far as he was concerned, didn’t matter.

    2. Yep. The same mistake constantly repeated by conservative (ish) governments. Clean the commies out of the bureaucracy as soon as you take power! This is simple stuff but seems to be too hard for Kenney, Harper et al to figure out. Very frustrating to see the NDP still pulling the levers of power.

    1. Donald Trump: “The!”

Media darlings such as the Washington Post followed by their little ducklings like the CBC: “Racist!”

    2. Poor ole Al, the crook, Sharpton, the man is a sleaze and an un-convicted tax fraud. He’s been at the trough so long he thinks he owns it.

    3. Hey PP the black unemployment rate has gone from 8% to 6% while DJT has been president. Just don’t tell Al Sharpton.

    4. *
      pinko pat whinges…
president takes aim at esteemed black civil rights activist

oh my gawd… are you the most ignorant person currently alive?

“Al Sharpton has been in the public limelight for just over 30 years –
ever since he first burst upon the scene by promoting the fake story
      of a white-on-black gang rape
in upstate New York in 1987.”

he has incited at least two riots where people were killed
and his office mysteriously burned down while he was
      being audited by the IRS.

not a big fan of gays or jews either, btw.

      *

    5. Since when is Al Sharpton a black civil rights activist? He’s a self-promoting con man millions in arrears on his federal taxes.

    1. And how would banning Trump in 2020 in California affect the outcome? Spoiler alert – he’s going to lose in California. Being banned in California might give him ammunition to win in Ohio. When did Democrats take on stupid as a full time occupation?

      1. Yep … time to take my RED vote to a proper RED State. This cesspool of leftist ideology is starting to stink. Literally. The street feces and homeless shantytowns are stinking the place up (whenever I venture out of my white kingdom’s of Palo Alto, Orinda, Ross, Atherton …)

  1. Will today be the first day that declassified Russiagate documents are released?

Joe DiGenova promised this on Monday.

    1. “That’th what you get fow not pwoduthing shawia-compliant, cawbon-neutwal, gendew-bawanthed wumber.”

Thanks a lot for nothing, Prinz Dummkopf.

    1. I would have been sympathetic a few yearsw back but now, tell them to eff off. As it is impossiblt to stop determined people from communicating, this is just a power grab with an excuse.

    2. OK, fair enough.

So let’s make a deal: the citizens of Australia, Canada, the UK, the US and New Zealand agree to stop using end-to-end encryption if the Five-Eyes intelligence community agrees to do likewise.

    1. She forgot the Family Reunification Immigrants, they are in the thousands as well.
Each one of those 317,000 Foreign students represents 50,000 dollars per position at a Canadian University for 4 years. Why is it the tax payers responsibility to educate the world.

  2. Today Great Leader Kim Sung Trudeau makes a brief stop in Ottawa. He is meeting a gathering of his candidates to encourage them in their election fight to defeat the Harper/Scheer/Ford alliance. All candidates are encouraged to have their brown shirts pressed as they carry torches and listen to Great Leader lecture on how Harper will take away the long form census. Praise Justin!

    @peoplespca

I get that you must vote for who you want, rather than who you think will win. However, I’m scared the vote will be split and that the Libs will get in again and that I DO NOT WANT! @JustinTrudeau has failed us at every turn. I’m embarrassed to say I voted for him. NO MORE

    Maxime Bernier
    @MaximeBernier

Justin: The reason you are torn is that deed is done, like everyone else, you KNOW that Scheer will also fail you at every turn, as Trudeau did after you voted for him.

    Why repeat the same mistake?

There’s no way to have real change unless people who want real change vote for it!

    https://www.cbc.ca/parents/learning/view/generation-x-my-generation-left-the-world-in-shambles-for-my-kids

These people never talk about the billions of people growing up in Asia, Africa and India who are heading to countries like Canada.

And they all teach yoga. What is it with yoga teachers anyway? Nervous wrecks preaching inner calmness.

John Ivison has written a book about Prime Minister Dickspank.
In this piece Butts is quoted so we know that’s a lie. Sophie wouldn’t be interviewed for the book – who wants to talk about a husband who constantly cheats on her? The embarrassment of India is sort of blamed on her as well.
I would only be interested in the book if I was caught short in a woods full of poison ivy.

The Minister of Mass Immigration must be worried.

He knows a majority of Canadians want less immigration.

And for the first time in decades, a party proposes to reduce it.

So he quotes paid for propaganda from CBC.

    1. Half a billion taxpayer dollars so billionaires can pay millions to people to play a kid’s game. This never gets old. People seem to be equally stupid everywhere in North America.

    2. Oh, why not? If Edmonton can get one, why now Cowtown?

The reality is that the new place (which I’ve never been to and don’t intend to go there) is simply the vanity toy of some local moneybags. The Coliseum, or whatever it’s called nowadays, is some 45 years old, but, from what I’ve heard, is still in good condition.

How old does a building have to be before someone decides it needs to be replaced? McMahon Stadium’s been there for well over 50 years.

      1. McMahon is going to still be in use for the NFL Stampeders. It is an open-air facility.

However, it’s the Saddledome that’s the issue. It is just under 40 years old. I guess its not up to The Commish of the NHL’s standards. I would imagine they will still keep this ‘old’ one in use for junior teams and smaller events. It had been totally refurbished after the spring flood a few years ago. It is in a flood zone and the first 6 rows of seats, if I recall, were under water.

I was in it after the renovations to see a concert and if it was good enough for “Chicago” and “Earth Wind and Fire” it was/ is good enough for most Calgarians.

Check link for photo. When you see it, I’m sure you’ll recall it because it has an iconic look. Was built in time for the ’88 Olympics, I believe, and completed in ’83. Said in an earlier post not too long ago, the economic situation is poor here and most don’t wish to see a tax increase. Our Mayor is a real Socialist, as most people know.

Those who viewed the ’88 Olympics and watch the NHL games will recognize this building:

  7. The Dem debate night one winner is, the one making the most sense to the Dem base is: Marianne Williamson
As POTUS I will go right over to NK and give that adorable little Kim fellow a big hug of LOVE. Perhaps yodel serenade him.
Comedy writing itself again at Demland.

“YODEL-AY-HEE-HOO: Author Marianne Williamson gave fellow Democrats a hardball lecture on not getting outmaneuvered by Republicans, as her voiced jumped octaves in what some online observers compared to yodeling.”

I checked, she didn’t actually yodel.

    https://expressdigest.com/self-help-guru-marianne-williamson-yodels-and-provides-hardball-lecture-to-democrats-on-healthcare/

  8. Trudeau having “gender advisors” doesn’t surprise me. During a past Liberal administration I remember as an army officer having to attend a lecture on avoiding being violent in combat situations. Never laughed so hard in my life.

    1. And I have a theory about military leadership. In the past soldiers have dehumanized the enemy to make them easier to kill. Nowadays that’s racism and they leave the soldiers involved to solve their own mental health issues as long as they don’t insult those they are supposed to kill. Soldiers are also denied liquid self medication.

    2. To misquote Clemenceau:

“La guerre ! C’est une chose trop grave pour la confier aux Libéraux.”

  9. Media Action Plan

The recent federal financial update from the federal government contained some good news for the future of local media in Canada. They include such measures as tax credits for expanding local news, charitable status for non-profit news and a 15-per-cent refund on digital news subscriptions.

Such moves will help ensure a future for newsrooms across the country and spur the development of new media outlets online, telling local stories that are the fabric of our society, and covering important local news to help ensure an informed voting public.

This is the sort of work that makes journalism the bedrock of our democracy. A functioning democracy, after all, relies on informed voters making a responsible choice about who their next leader should be.

Conservative commentators, however, seem to just see some sort of conspiracy in the announcement of support for journalism. This is not just unacceptable, it is frightening.

There is often a perception among conservatives of Liberal bias in the media. Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer has openly accused the media of showing bias as he ramps up towards next year’s federal election, as have some of his MPs.

    Read it all here

    https://mediaactionplan.ca/analysis/a-tax-credit-can-help-save-canadian-journalism-but-never-buy-it/

    1. That hardly surprises me. I encountered nonsense like that while I was teaching, particularly after the institution I was at adopted the “student as customer” doctrine in the early 1990s. I was no longer to teach to standards but “deliver learning” to “meet or exceed the expectations” of my “customers”. So, if my “customer” expected there to be a “p” in “hamster”, well, there had jolly well better be one.

Yeah, post-secondary education has become that silly.

      1. there is something, some . . . ‘thing’ very deep in the shadows about a story like this.
        a different kind of foreboding.
whut the friggin blazes does it take to facilitate this brazen snowflakeness?

  10. Andrew Scheer
    @AndrewScheer

Yet another cover-up from Justin Trudeau. He has shown a clear pattern of silencing those who speak out, and using his Liberal MPs to cover it up when he gets caught. Canadians deserve better from their Prime Minister.

Scheer has also shown a clear pattern of silencing those who speak out

Following Conservative MP Michael Cooper’s run in with Faisal Khan Suri – President of the Alberta Muslim Public Affairs Council, Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer has removed Cooper from his role on the House of Commons Justice Committee.

“Reading the name and quoting the words of the Christchurch shooter, especially when directed at a Muslim witness during a parliamentary hearing, is insensitive and unacceptable,” said Scheer.

    https://www.spencerfernando.com/2019/06/01/andrew-scheer-boots-michael-cooper-off-justice-committee-after-controversial-clash-with-witness/

    1. Don’t forget Scheer silenced Max right out of the CPC. Scheer wanted none of Max’s conservative views period.

Especially on immigration and as stated above look what he did to Cooper who was defending conservatives against a Islamist who was lying about the Christchurch shooter being from the right and a conservative.

So what exactly does Scheer stand for except for having the same liberal party platforms and why did Scheer as soon as he won the leadership force all his MP’s to vote for the Paris Accord which is UN tyranny.

      Where’s the outrage???

Or have Canadians given up just like the British and French in Europe.

      I hope not

  11. A really funny story out in BC. Residents around Mundy Park in Coquitlam (a suburb with some forested areas) have been complaining about black bears. They’ve been getting more aggressive this year, having become “habituated” to the garbage bins and idiots that surround them and take pictures. A house was broken into by a bear this week, and I think last week a woman with an infant was trapped in her house while a bear ransacked the kitchen.

So yesterday a conservation officer was attempting to put down a mother black bear and two cubs, and some idiots started interfering with the officer. Joyfully, they were arrested.

    https://www.tricitynews.com/news/three-arrested-in-coquitlam-for-obstructing-capture-killing-of-bear-family-1.23901694

Clearly, they’ll be running for the Green Party or launching a human rights complaint soon.

  12. For now, the plan to engineer a financial crisis to push aside President Trump is on hold. The Powell Fed have cut interest rates for the first time since 2008.

Beijing have apparently accepted that the crisis would hurt their debt-ridden economy more than America’s.

After six months of Democratic control of the House, Wall Street have apparently realized how unwise it would be to replace President Trump with a Squad of women they wouldn’t hire to empty the bins.

  13. So much for Trudeau’s promise to run a clean positive campaign. His speech today to the toadies running in the election, consisted of trashing provincial Conservative premiers, especially Doug Ford. He did mention Scheer calling him Harper with a smiling face. Expect this election to be about Doug Ford as Groper concentrates on that important Ontario vote.

      1. Trudeau’s CBC loved it when Groper yelled to his candidates, Canadians can’t afford another Doug Ford. I guess that is the new Liberal campaign slogan. Strange that he didn’t mention how the previous 15 years of Liberal rule in Ontario resulted in massive deficits and debts that Ford has to clean up now. Or the many scandals of Wynne’s liberals.

    1. Past Prime Ministers from Quebec explained in 24 words.

      Fixed it for you

You do not know the future so we have to give every individual the benefit of the doubt.

      But let’s compare

      Scheer

Federal Carbon tax and keeps the Paris Accord

Free Speech we’ll see Cooper his own MP and don’t you dare say anything against the Islamist

      Immigration no numbers

Keeps the Milk, eggs and Cheese cartel

UN keeps Canada to be governed by the Globalist

      Bernier

Kills the Federal Carbon tax and also kills the Paris Accord

Free Speech will rein again in Canada against anything and any group you disagree with including the Islamist

      Immigration 150,000 Maximum

Every Canadian family will save up to $4000 in Milk, eggs and Cheese per year because the Cartel will be broken up and OMG conservative competition rules the day what a concept

Kicks the Globalist UN out Canada of Canada making sure they hold no power over our Federal Government with the barest minimum of dealings.

      1. 400 dollars saving from the milk, cheese and eggn from the cartel not 4000 fat thumbs and my mistake

        Sorry

    2. Forgot Pipelines top two, Free Speech is #1

      But let’s compare

      Scheer

      Pipelines

Scheer refuses to use the constitution to build all pipelines no matter what Quebec, BC or any environmental or judge says.

Why won’t the LibCons use the Constitution? makes me wonder…

      Bernier

Build all pipelines that Canada needs using the Constitution and at the same time once built freeing Canada from spending billions supporting Islamist Oil who’s revenues are funnelled back to support and promote their own groups in Canada.

Sorry fellow Oil and Gas Workers for forgetting Pipeliners and pipelines.

  15. Great Leader Kim Sung Trudeau is finished ranting at his candidate toadies about the evil Doug Ford/Harper alliance. Tomorrow he continues his taxpayer funded election tour all the way to Nunavit. He will be throwing around money at various locations in the far north. Strange that the media isn’t complaining about him using taxpayer money for election trips. Although the Toronto Star and Globe and Mail are busy today with more Ford is Hitler stories.

    1. Nice look, smoking a joint, spewing crazy to a reporter, and needing a shave! Yikes! And she’s a She!

      1. Maybe she was smoking wacky tobaccy. However, did you happen to notice her apparel? Isn’t that cultural appropriation or was she a Lizzie Warren aboriginal?

  16. Anyone in need of a good laugh should check out the comments on tonight’s Dem debate at Conservative Tree house. I could not be bothered watching the debate, but the snarky blow-by- blow remarks from the mostly Trump supporters are hilarious.

  17. This thread took us down memory lane. I enjoyed the theme songs from some of these shows. Others were not aired in Canada probably due to the Canadian content laws. There were only 7 or so that I recall that I liked but didn’t always watch them due to the late hours that they were aired. We didn’t have VCR s yet and had to rely on summer reruns to see a replay. One of my favourite shows was the “Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.”

Carson had some interesting guests and guest hosts. Check out these two. Can you tell they were getting it on? She recently admitted it lasted over a 20 year period. Honestly, this is very sweet and nostalgic. Enjoy.
